The inspiration for this piece came from a dried field, overgrown with weeds, that I drove past every day. As I would sit at the intersection, waiting for the light to change, I could see the activity of the homeless encampment. I noticed that there was a beauty to the weeds that stood tall over the rest of the field, concealing the people that lived there. It was as if nature had created a safe and beautiful garden for them. This depends on how you view nature and humanity…/weeds and the homeless.
